New Mission & Focus Team Member Hired!

The Franciscan Sisters of Mary are thrilled to announce that Amanda Tello has joined our team as Program Manager for Mission & Focus. FSM is committed to the compassionate care of Creation in collaboration with others. As we stand for justice for our earth and the marginalized, we know that those people most impacted by poor environmental health hold the wisdom to craft solutions for their communities. Our philanthropy program primarily supports grassroots organizations led by and accountable to those on the frontlines of climate change and environmental degradation, who are disproportionately communities of color and low-income communities.

Our Presence and Prayer Amid the Coronavirus Pandemic

Presence is a word we use often as FSM. It is at the center of our mission – to be the presence of the loving, serving, compassionate, healing Jesus. In this time when we cannot be physically present with one another, it is especially important to remember what presence means to us: presence is a way of living in the world that encourages encounter. It is who and how we are, regardless of what we are doing.
