Sr. Sherri Coleman, FSM, wrote a letter urging the complete removal of all radioactive waste at West Lake Landfill; the letter was published Monday, February 26, 2018, in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The EPA’s proposed remedy for the radioactive waste illegally buried at the West Lake Landfill in Bridgeton, Mo., removes only 70 percent of the radioactive waste, leaving 30 percent of the lethal material still in place. The Franciscan Sisters of Mary, in accord with neighbors and others concerned about our environment, find this remedy unacceptable.

On Monday, November 20, 2107, her FSM sisters, her family, and a myriad of friends and colleagues gathered at St. Alphonsus Liguori (Rock) Church to celebrate her life and mourn her passing.
