Gateway Greening Holds Conference

Gateway Greening, an FSM collaborator that sponsors organic, sustainable community gardens in the St. Louis area, held its annual Community Agriculture Conference Sunday, February 25, 2018. Five FSM—Srs. Sherri Coleman, Jeanne Derer, André Evanicsko, Marge O’Gorman, and Sandy Schwartz—attended.

West Lake–Your Response Is Needed!

The EPA’s proposed remedy for the radioactive waste illegally buried at the West Lake Landfill in Bridgeton, Mo., removes only 70 percent of the radioactive waste, leaving 30 percent of the lethal material still in place. The Franciscan Sisters of Mary, in accord with neighbors and others concerned about our environment, find this remedy unacceptable.

Sr. Mary Antona Ebo: Homegoing Celebration

On November 11, 2017, Mary Antona Ebo, FSM, Civil Rights legend and pioneer, passed away.

On Monday, November 20, 2107, her FSM sisters, her family, and a myriad of friends and colleagues gathered at St. Alphonsus Liguori (Rock) Church to celebrate her life and mourn her passing.
